Carl,

Hi Dave B; RDRAM and RIMMs are (mass produced) components, not finished products. The high multiples are for finished (non commodity) products.

More BS. You originally claimed Scumbria's numbers for RIMMs were correct because they sold for high multiples, justifying his pricing.

However, I'm through discussing theoreticals with you. I have no interest in your "opinions" any longer. Post a link to pricing for RDRAM chips, or admit that Scumbria's numbers were BS. Show that it would cost a designer $50 or more per 128M RDRAM chip in volume ($200 divided by 4 chips [Scumbria's 64MB system] is $50 per chip -- since most low-cost systems don't need 64M, he's claiming it could even be $66/chip or $100/chip) . It's that simple.

I'm beginning to understand why Scumbria has no problem with Clinton's ethics. Both dissemble, evade, change the subject, attack unrelated issues, and claim that they're "injured" by the accusations. Everything but admit they made a mistake.

Dave
