P.S. I myself never talk about gains in terms of, "Baggers." I stick to percents. Whether right or wrong, I just associate talking about "baggers" with highly speculative, often penny, pink sheet stocks. This is what most people were talking about when they used the term, "Bagger," over at misc.invest.stocks in the early 90s, where I first heard the term [pre-SI era]. Besides having zero interest in this kind of stock, I also associate, "Bagger," with traders--make the hit, then move on. This is not my style.

I first heard the term bagger in one of Peter Lynch's books. Maybe Beat the Street. I would not coin Lynch as an penny trader, but he may not have came up with the expression bagger himself, but he used it throughout the book as I recall.
