That quote is from Mike Ruettgers, CEO of EMC, quoted in yesterday's Forbes article. I don't think "touting" is quite the right word for this kind of remark when it comes from him. Historically, overconfident CEO's are a good predictor of impending trouble. Perhaps this is more true in the semis industry (which is cyclical) than in storage -- storage is not yet mature enough for us to know whether it's cyclical.
