Latest Offering Launches Second Generation Platform
MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2000--Com21, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMTO - news), a global supplier of systems solutions for the broadband access market, today announced that its DOXport(TM) 1110 cable modem has been certified by CableLabs® for compliance with DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Services Interface Specification) 1.0.
The latest offering is also the first product incorporating Com21's next-generation platform, the basis for future broadband access solution products.

The DOXport 1110 is Com21's fifth cable modem to receive certification from CableLabs. Its full-duplex 10/100BT Ethernet interface is designed to support multiple PCs with an Ethernet hub. Additionally, the modem is significantly smaller than earlier products. It comes with a reference CD, designed to help answer customers' installation and troubleshooting questions, potentially reducing dependence on technical support personnel. The DOXport 1110 begins shipping this month.
