Ross Systems and Integris Announce IT Outsourcing and ASP Partnership
ATLANTA, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems (Nasdaq: ROSS) and Integris U.S. today announced an agreement making Integris the preferred supplier of IT outsourcing services for Ross Systems. Integris also will support Ross Systems' application service provider (ASP) software solutions. These solutions will be named "Ross eSourcing."
Ross eSourcing can help you take a firm grasp of changing technology and use it to propel your company forward. Ross eSourcing helps control rapidly escalating costs, reduces IT complexity, and keeps your IT personnel and resources focused on the bottom line: growing your company's business.
Ross Systems is a leading supplier of enterprise software and e-business solutions to the process manufacturing, healthcare and public sector markets. Integris is a world-class provider of mission-critical e-infrastructure management services.
Ross eSourcing understands in this eBusiness climate that the money our customers are investing in information technology (IT) has never been greater or more critical. And that means the demand for a return on that investment has never been stronger. Not just the traditional financial return-the ROI payback on capital expenditures-but also the business returns. Rapidly changing technology, the accelerating growth of e-commerce, a chronic shortage of trained staff, and escalating and unpredictable costs have increased pressure on IT departments to the boiling point. Companies have been compelled to increasingly spend critical resources on these problems taking time and resource away from their core businesses.
Ross eSourcing differs from traditional service models because you retain a much greater degree of control over your IT functions, even though they will be managed for you. We understand that your company and its business needs are unique. You know your strengths and weaknesses, your personnel and their skills, and the priority projects that deserve the greatest attention.
That's where Ross eSourcing's flexibility becomes an advantage. You decide which functions you want managed through Ross eSourcing and which vital operations you want to manage directly. You complement your staff in the areas that you need it most, allowing your staff with business-specific knowledge to remain on key projects. You choose whether to spend your valuable capital resources on IT infrastructure or allow Ross eSourcing to provide and manage that infrastructure for a predictable monthly fee.
Ross eSourcing enables your company to achieve the best of both worlds. Day-to-day operational needs are predictably met by a Ross eSourcing team of skilled professionals, while your internal IT personnel focus on your core business.
Customers remove the risk of skill and technology obsolescence while protecting mission-critical data in a secure, off-site managed facility. Ross eSourcing will allow customers to leverage the high value Ross enterprise applications with reduced up front capital investment and lower overall project risk.
Integris will immediately begin hosting development servers from its Minneapolis data center, then continue to provide ongoing infrastructure hosting services for Ross Systems' solutions. In addition, Integris will collaborate on defining and structuring an appropriate business model to support its offerings worldwide.
Ross Systems solutions include the iRenaissance Internet-enabled enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications for financials, manufacturing, advanced planning, supply-chain management, maintenance management, transportation management, materials management and human resources/payroll. Ross Systems' Resynt e-business product family includes digital marketplace applications spanning procurement, sales, Internet trading exchange connectivity, collaboration and employee productivity.
"One of the key facts that differentiate the Ross eSourcing solution for existing and future customers is that our approach is totally customer centric," said Ross Systems' CEO J. Patrick (Pat) Tinley. "Ross eSourcing will provide a customized solution implemented to our customers exact specifications. Generic software with generic implementations simply will not work in the complex process manufacturing, healthcare and public sector markets we serve."
John Enright, vice president outsourcing services, Integris, noted that, "The fact that Ross Systems chose Integris to power its new e-business solution underscores Integris' proficiency in this area. This is another great opportunity for Integris to showcase its experience in the application infrastructure provider (AIP) space, and provide our key ASP partners with a strong, leading-edge management infrastructure solution."
