In the press release, Berman basically admits "Look, we
can't figure out how to run this company at a profit.
We don't really want to try. We just wanted to milk this
thing for everything we could get, and now it's over.
We aren't interested in trying to be good managers. Then
we'd have to actually earn our salaries."

I haven't been in RAIN for years, but still follow it,
and have never heard anything to justify why Berman was
ever put in charge of this thing (besdies money). He
doesn't appear to know much about running it. It seems
like it could have succeeded on a smaller scale with
management that cared. Landry's will probably care.
