No.......he gave 1% of his income and tried to get matching funds added in. I heard many debates on talk shows over this issue and I am 100% sure of this.

My sources claimed he gave in the 200,000 ballpark. He was trying to add in some matching funds that were given by some other company that matched his donation. It amazes me that a party that claims that charity should come from the private sector is actually so cheap.

By the way.....does anyone here know of the Bohemian Grove in Northern Ca.? I heard that George Bush senior put on a great party there a couple years ago ( for the rich and powerful) and clinched the nomination for his son as a result. Many Republicans have got their financial backing from meetings and retreats at the grove.
