carl, RE: A stock going from 50 to 100 is up 100%, but when is goes from 100 to 50 it is only down 50%. So on a round trip on the above cited case, that must be a net gain of 50%! How do I take that to the Bank?

As one who has made many similar round trips, I don't know, but tell me if you find out.

On another note, AAPL just had trading halted. Odds are it's the latest to join the warning brigade.
