I infer from the comments surrounding the Intel debacle that we've moved into a brave new world of earnings surprises due to the new restrictions placed on comments to analysts. Since Cymer hasn't warned, I presume that this means that they're on track to at least hit the expected numbers. One thing I wonder is whether a company is obligated to 'warn' if the earnings are going to be significantly higher than expected.
