Spud-wrench: Your hate for Clinton is negatively affecting your reasoning abilities. Think more like a politician and less like a lawyer.

There's only a small chance that Clinton will be indicted after he leaves office. Whoever is elected -- either Bush or Gore -- will work behind the scenes to make sure all this goes away quietly. And if, perchance, Clinton is indicted ... even convicted! ... whoever is in the White House will pardon him, as Ford pardoned Nixon for far, far greater crimes against the American people and the Constitution of the U.S.A.

Why do I speculate such? Simple. If Clinton can be hauled before a criminal court jury in Podunk, Arkansas, or D.C. or Virginia or wherever, so can every other president that follows. We will have created an "open season" on incumbent presidents, and neither political party wants that.

If we're going to indict Clinton, then we're going to have a REAL witch-hunt in this country. Hell, why stop at Clinton? Isn't adultery against the law in Louisiana? Hell, the Dems will say, let's indict Bob Livingston for admitting he cheated on his wife.

You get where I'm coming from. Be very careful of what you wish for here.
