Huge news today and no reaction. Little volume, up a penny.
Ok, so here's my interpretation:
1) Ted hires a financial guy with production experience
2) The financial production guy is presumably not an idiot, and presumably, has made a rational decision that CMR has both financial viability and a bright future, in order for him to make the move.
3) It looks like financial management of the firm has gone from Mr. Plexman to the new hire, does this presage the corporation moving into a more senior (for lack of a better term) role of producing firm, rather than junior looking for finance?
4) Ted hires a marketing guy, a greybeard, with senior marketing and consultancy experience at large Oz (Anaconda?) and major international Ni-Co company (Falco?).
Again, guys like this know how to ask the right questions and are unlikely to change jobs until they are sure they are going to work for a viable firm. Also, by the by, Ted wouldn't need a marketing guy if he wasn't anticipating a product to sell.
5) Goodhand may be a local London boy (recent MBA at UWO), but Parker obviously seasoned and well-traveled. Presumably Parker, at least, knows lots of folks in the metals business, and if they watch where he goes, they may develop an interest in the stock.
Huge news; markets and threads yawn. Maybe Paul was right, maybe the markets are brain-dead.
Congrats again to mgt, somewhere between 1 and 3 more rabbits out of the hat. This news is the first thing to excite me since the refinery was obtained. |
