I have to disagree with you there Libbyt. This makes it look as if the INTC warning is not entirely INTC specific but perhaps indicative of more widespread problems in the PC biz. If people have decided they don't need to upgrade their PCs anymore then that will affect a whole group of companies, from MSFT to manufacturers like DELL and INTC, and also the semi equip makers like AMAT. We'll have to wait for post-earnings guidance before we know the full story.

Of course, this doesn't directly affect the new economy companies, but it won't help confidence in tech stocks in general.

Also, this comes at a time when the market is already nervous. I rather think it will be "an issue", at least tomorrow.
