William: "Oil fell sharply on Thursday"? The world isn't ending??"

Do you think that the day-to-day movement of the price of oil matters? The point of everything I posted in the last month is that it does not matter at all -- it is already too late to deflect the impact. The time to fend off the impact was six months ago. There are well-founded concerns about a recession. If it does not come to be, then we may have a soft landing and a buying opportunity -- great. But if the economy overshoots and slows too much, which is a very valid concern, then investment "portfolios" which consist of highly concentrated holdings of astronomically priced, high-risk technology long shot stocks will continue to be burned to the ground. Good luck. Oh, by the way, that would make today a suckers rally -- were you buying?
