Stuart: I think that "billions" refers to the potential expenditures
for all the telco's because once one of them puts this high-speed
stuff in for the masses, all of them are going to have to do the
same thing to keep up.

That doesn't mean that DSC/Westell is going to get that much but I
think that four year contract is looking good for DSC now that BEL
is merging with NYN. NYN especially needs to do lots of upgrades
as they've fallen behind BEL in their service corridor and BEL has
already said that it's priorities will begin with making NYN as
dependable as BEL as part of the merger agreement.

Since this high-speed copper solution is going to entail a 56kbps
modem for the local loop, it might be worth watching Rockwell as
well as DSC; I hear their 56 modem is the best and is expected to
sell millions.
