Well, on network appliances, I have never seen Microsoft represented on anything. I have seen Linux many times. In fact, I haven't seen anything else than Linux and proprietary solutions.

On thin clients, I believe Playstation II will probably get a big market, if you count all the units. Windows CE is also strong, but Linux's success is not always number of sold units, but whether it sets the refernce and the standards. MSFT doesn't care about which other product people are using, only that they are not using MSFT products...

On servers, I don't know the figures right now. But as far as I know, 5% is history. It depends on how you count them. There are actually still Novell 2.x servers out there...
