Allen, Agree. The characteristics of a major botton are just AINT there. Wheres the fear. With the VIX at 23 range and the advance/decline about even - wheres the fear? Im not saying that a rally cant start without first bottoming with extreme fear in the market, just that until a major bottom is developed on strong volume and extreme fear, there will be the threat of making that important bottom. Its interesting to note that since this selloff started on SEPT 1, there has been FIVE 1 day rallys(one was 2 days). Four of which rebounded the NDX about 200 points only to fail and continue down. Thats FIVE in a row, where the rally lasted a big 1-2 days before the selling resumed. Sorry, thats just not a sign of strength.
