I agree about Apple, sad to say, could a downturn there affect the Valley? Probably not much, if at all. I used to be somewhat of a Mac bigot, but that was years ago. A friend of mine priced a piece of software, planning tool, for a Mac about a year ago. It was 2.5X the price for the Mac as for PC. One indicator of their problem of lack of software developers for Macs. Like you said also, expensive and slow, at least appearance-wise because of the 500 MHz max.

All the Mac enthusiasts have Macs already.

And there aren't many new ones coming up among kids. It's all PC now.
