Was the Timna supposed to have used RDRAM or were they delaying it until they could get an MTH that worked?

It appears they decided they would have to redesign the Timna to get rid of the RDRAM interface and replace it with an SDRAM interface.

It seems like the idea of translating from RDRAM signalling to SDRAM signalling is an impossibility.

Is P4 supposed to support DDR and SDRAM through an MTH in Q2'01? What are the chances of THAT ever working?
