Maybe you should start listening to the rumors about the IA-64 compilers. The rumors about the Itanium not performing up to snuff have been found to be mostly true at this point. According to the news, no one wants Itanium even as a pilot to IA-64! The only FUD here is that promoted by Intelites. Timna gone, Rambus not being made (much), MTH gone, Itanium not wanted, P4 delayed, i850 delayed, i820 not wanted, Q3 revenue missed, etc.
Perhaps Intel FUD should now mean Foulups, Unavailables, and Delays. Since I call it like I see it, that Intel FUD is what I see, so it is what I call (plain and simple).
