Shelly, with all due respect, you don't need research to know how many ships you actually shipped and the rough % of utilization of those shipments. We have a simple case of ESST knowing what they did. CUBE knowing what they did.

I will repeat this one last time, as I did it just after the ESST conf call. Chan cited figure of 3.5 to 4 million VCD chips shipped Q1. He said ESST > 2 million of those chips. CUBE says 2.6 million chips sold or shipped? Either Chan or CUBE is dead wrong. Now we have CUBE warning of big slowdown in VCD chips this quarter in spite of your own information saying great demand.

Possibilities:
1) CUBE channel stuffed and is getting destroyed by ESST. This would lend credence to PB's assertion of 30 design wins for new ESST VCD 2-chip solution compared to 4 design wins for CL680.

2) Whole VCD market has fallen off a cliff this quarter. And ESST and/or OAKT will soon report their own warnings.

Time will tell. I've reduced my position in ESST to 1/4 pre-FOMC mtg. I can use the loss I took when ESST went from $24 -> $14 to counter some fairly large capital gains so far this year. The buying will start up again close to Q2, particularly if ESST doesn't warn. That means CUBE has been ousted heavily from VCD.
