I haven't posted on this thread for a long time, as other obligations required my utmost attention. But I have always dropped in regularly to read the posts of my father along with countless others and the wisdom I acquire here has easily been the best education I have ever received. Every post adds a new dimension to this thread, opens up more avenues of possibilities and in my case, helps me to make better trading decisions. To share the knowledge, insights and intellectual ability of every member is far more beneficial than harmful.

I sincerely believe that the Idea thread has been successful because it is one of the few “ What you see is what you get” threads. There has never been a special chat room where only close SI friends have access, or pumping and dumping of a particular stock, no useless chatter but straight talking individuals who give their utmost in trying to read the market direction, so often successfully. The many posters and lurkers are indeed a testament to that fact. I know personally, from my conversations with my father that he enjoys reading other posters as long as they are coherent and to the point and the majority of them are.

Next year I will be applying for a job in the US for my placement year. As my course is bent on the financial sector, I will need an in-depth knowledge of the US stock market. I am convinced more than ever before, that reading the insights provided by a multitude of posters will give me a clearer understanding of this market than any textbook can hope to provide me. So I for one welcome the influx of messages as long as they don’t cross the thin line between market trends and idle chat. Regards to all. Zain
