I don't like either name. I vote for "Silver-tongued gorilla." This is the porch -- we can call it whatever we want to call it (whatever it is). But silver-tongued has a nice ring to it.

I'm also partial to "Magilla Gorilla" and "Atilla the Gorilla." Some might vote for "Gorilla My Life." There's a strong case for "Funky Monkey" and "Blimp the Chimp." I've eliminated the latter to avoid offending overweight mammals.
