I don't see Stratfor as being particularly partisan, in the Democrat/Republican sense, but there is no doubt that they have a vested interest in making dramatic and sensational conclusions. Their subscribers want to feel that they are the first ones to know about the next crisis, which is why practically every Stratfor report casts its subject as a matter of impending catastrophe. This does superficially seem to support a Republican agenda, since the Republicans also frequently choose to portray the world as a Very Dangerous Place to be approached with deep suspicion and bristling arsenals, but I think that in Stratfor's case the appearance of bias is more market-driven than political.

The Russian experience teaches us that capitalism cannot exist without the rule of law. The same lesson has been taught many times before, but an awful lot of people haven't learned it.
