I was watching a show last night called 'swing".
The Show is called, "The Joint is Jumping". It is on Bravo, and the weekend schedule is as follows.

I am not in it, (damn it, they cut me out). It was shot a year ago, and I know just about everybody in it who is alive today. It is a great documentary, and I recommend it to all of you.
It features Frankie Manning, and he is just as nice as he comes across, as in Norma Miller. The featured bands are great. I know the Musicians well, (Johnny Boyd, of Indigo Swing, Bill Elliot, Eddie Nichols of Royal Crown Revue).
Just about every dancer you will hear from is a friend.
If you want to see us street dance, Ratan, come down to 3rd st at the Santa Monica Mall. About a hundred of us dance there from 4 to 8PM on the 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoons each month. |
