Read all company news and listen to the CC's and you will be ahead of these guys. I'm sure of it! Good point. These analysts don't follow every press release or watch for any comments made by CEOs. Sometimes, you can get get a feel for how things are going by just watching the expressions on the faces of the CEOs/CFOs being interviewed. Our disadvantage has been that we can't speak to the managements. It will certainly be much easier for the investor who just follows one sector or very few companies. I am actually looking forward to it since we will be able to play our hunches for earnings runups/rundowns. At least we know someone is not getting the information right from management. I keep going back to this Sagawa analyst and his conclusions. He has a lousy track record on Lucent and he is being taken so seriously. Nobody bothers to listen to NT's public statements or to other analysts. They say he is independent but look at other brokerages--not all of them get business from NT. I think we can use this type of analysis in the future to our advantage in a big way.
