Stitch, Would love to hear any of the inside scoop on SEG like why no one else has (or was able) to bid for them, what's holding up the deal and whether there's any chance of the deal falling apart at this point. A QNTM/MXTR combination would be an incredible windfall for mgmt and Silver Lake.
The more I think about HDD buying MXTR, the less sense it makes. How could HDD possibly justify it? Could it be a merger of equals? Combined market caps works out to about $2 bil which is close to the business week figure. -Z
