I say all sorts of nasty things about believers. I don't like believers very much. Of course I don't think anything is going to happen to them in another life, to punish them for not being the way I think they ought to be. Nor do I wish to punish them personally. I do think believers acting as a political group can pose a danger to my civil liberties- but that's about as much danger as I see in them. Mostly they just assault my sense of reason. And so I make a relative choice to prefer people who think like I do.

Cos is actually much more mellow on believers than I am. And I don't see him being defensive either. Ah the world is truly a relative place isn't it? You are seeing things in a completely different way than I do. You believe in a God and I don't. You think Cos is defensive and I don't. You think Solon is a cult leader and I don't. You don't see the give and take in this forum and I do. Why Solon and I and Cos just went round and round and round over absolutism- a very vigorous give and take it was- until we realized that we were talking about different types of absolutism- now THAT gave us all something to think about. You see something negative in a college degree and I don't. You seem to be afraid of Cos's message and I'm not.

I really think you put the wrong person on ignore. If you are afraid of people like Cos you should be very afraid of me. I'm a lot like him, but less polite. Plus he is a lot more generally spiritual than I am. He at least believes in some sort of spiritual energy- some connectedness- me, I'm not even sure of that.
