Re: the union vote. At most ... at most ... Nader will win 3 percent of the union vote. My personal opinion is that union support for Nader will be only slightly higher than the national average. Therefore, my educated guess is that Nader will win only 2 percent of the union vote.

In '96 Clinton got 59 percent of the union vote. Keep in mind, though, that the Teamsters did not endorse Clinton in '96. Ergo, one could reasonably assume that the Teamster endorsement should add at least 4 or 5 percentage points to the total. However, the gun issue may send some union votes to Bush.
