Wait, it gets worse, sandeep. You know that little antitrust matter that neither you nor I nor Judge PJ think will *really result in a break-up of MS? Well, let's just say for the sake of argument that it's not really about the forces of evil out to squelch Microsoft's 'right to innovate' and it's exactly about what the findings *say it's about. Whatever remedy or settlement is at the end of this crap, short of a full reversal, is going to contain the publishing/full documentation (secret sauce) of Win32. --- That means a tighter compatibility layer between *nix and Windows apps, along with a cottage industry of 'porting kits'. --- If right now, Intuit ported Quicken to *nix/GNOME 2, where does that leave "Where do you want to go today?"? -JCJ
