<I will NEVER again need the services of KODAK And once everyone else has a digicam and >= 128K of CF, they will feel the same way.> <IMHO, Monday will be a good day to sell SNDK.>
I suppose you mean 128MB, not 128KB. Today, I bought my first digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix 880, which just became available in Hong Kong. It came with a 16MB CF card branded by Nikon, but manufactured by SanDisk. I plan on buying a 128MB card soon, or I may wait for the 256MB card to become available in a couple of months, when the high-density configuration becomes mass produced. The larger the capacity, the cheaper the $ per MB.
The store where I bought my digicam, Broadway, is the largest consumer electronics store in HK. They had no fewer than a twenty different digital video camcorders (one Canon model used MMC cards for storing static photo images), a dozen different MP3 players (3 SmartCard, 3 CF card, 2 MMC card), and twenty different digital cameras - most of which used CF cards.
Of the CF cards being sold, all were SanDisk cards. The top capacity was 160MB, I think.
The manager of the store said that sales of digital cameras were going through the roof.
I don't understand why you think Monday would be a good day to sell SNDK, but I personally think there's a good chance that SNDK has made a triple-bottom. I think I will add a couple of hundred contracts of in-the-money calls next week in anticipation of a nice bounce UP.
