Re: RMBS has the patent on DDR No, it doesn't. DDR was in active use decades before Rambus existed. Rambus has patents on a narrowly defined combination of industry standards, none of which they invented. Rambus will collect royalties for 0 years if they lose in court or 2 to 3 years if they win and the combination of technologies used must be changed by the industry. 3 years from now, not only will RDRAM be dead, but Rambus inc. as well.
