*OT** As a sustaining member of the NRC, I will vote for Bush, but I almost hope Gore wins. So, the Democrates will be around forced to try and catch the falling knives...<g>

LG, this election is really a replay of 1988, but ironically GWB is running against his own father. GWB is Gov. Dukakis vs. Gore as Bush Sr. Gore is to Clinton as Bush was to Reagan. A victory for the incumbent (and I believe Gore will win) may be intended to preserve the good times, but GB was, and Gore will be, handed a leaky bucket --a declining economy (and maybe even market crash!). Like GW, not being up to the challenge, Gore will have a one-term Presidency. Question is, who will the repubs put up in 2004? -- that person will be the next mover n'shaker.
