Sarmad: In a perfect world we would burn a lot less coal and oil and natural gas -- non-renewable and polluting. The path in that direction requires innovation and a transition to alternative fuels. And that path will only be taken if it becomes too costly to burn fossil fuels. Spend just one day in China, home to 8 of the world's 10 most polluted cities, and you will yearn to see higher prices for oil and a faster transition.
