I think a great number of people underestimate just how smart Gore actually is. The rest of your thesis is dead on but I do think that Gore will a great President, who will preside over the biggest, baddest stock market crash that the modern world has ever seen. His first act in this context will be to arrange to have Alan Greenspan fired as the scapegoat, when the real blame should probably be pointed elsewhere. Greenspan could even get lucky and become a verb. "The local economy was Greenspanned, so it had no chance...."
