I have concluded that the Jesus of history is very different from the icon of traditional Christianity. In my studies, I now believe that Jesus probably didn't feed the multitudes, did not take that stroll on the water, and never changed water into wine, nor did he raise Lazarus from the dead. He was probably executed as a public nuisance, rather than for claims of being the son of God. I also do not believe he rose from the dead but do believe the resurrection is based instead on visionary experiences of Peter, Paul, and Mary. If the tomb was found empty, it is my belief that the grave in a small town in southern India where it is suggested he spent many of the so called "missing years" is as good a place as any to be his final place of rest.
I mentioned earlier that to me, an interesting format would be a discussion on the historical Jesus and would appreciate any thoughts or further dialogue in this regards....
