Ozzie: Your problem is you believe the pabulum that the Bush camp is dishing out but don't have a clue on how all this is going to be implemented. So, for starters, tell me how Bush is going to bust the teachers' union. The same way that Reagan busted the air traffic controllers ... by firing them all? Lemme know so I can tell my wife, who is a member of the NEA, to go out and get a realtor's license. Offer up some specifics.

What you clowns fail to realize is that nothing ... nada ... zilch ... is going to happen on the education front if GWB is elected president.

Nothing ... zero ... zilch. And that's the way the white soccer moms and dads in the burbs want it.

Why do I say that with confidence?

Because George is a strong proponent of local school choice, and to institute sweeping, revolutionary reforms, the federal Department of Education would have to be given sweeping, revolutionary powers, and that ain't gonna happen under a Republican presidency.

Remember, the GOP mantra is less government, not more government. That's why George is now saying vouchers must be decided on a state-by-state and school district-by-school district basis.

The reason we have so many failing schools these days is because schools reflect society.
