First: I did think about the Kink's song but thought Barry Manilow was more Id's speed. Followed by: It's truly a sad state of affairs when you have no one better to defend than Barry Manilow. I've been getting a good laugh out of this conversation, but I do have a serious question. I know I’m going to get ripped to shreds on this board for asking this – but seriously, what’s wrong with Barry Manilow? I admit it -- I’ve liked his music since I was eleven years old. I’m not kidding! But what I’ve noticed is that anytime I fess up to having a modest Barry Manilow record collection, I get teased mercilessly. I just want someone to explain what it is that makes him the butt of so many jokes. Enlighten me! GGorillaGirl (who’s probably lost all musical credibility on this thread now)
