I don't think this really matters. AMD has used local interconnect for a long time now, even with their old 0.25u process and (I think) their even older 0.35u process. This as always given them a somewhat better transistor density than Intel

But that's the whole point. AMD thread clown said The Coppermine is 33% SMALLER with 33% less cache - ERGO - the densities are equivalent You tell me Athlon a higher transistor density than Coppermine. That I agree with.
