High Tech News Wednesday, Sep 27, 2000 Sun-Thu at 18:00 (GMT+3) Koor Heads Investor Group Raising $2 Mln for C3D By David Hayoun Koor and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem were recently involved in the private placement of high-tech company Constellation 3D (C3D), which is traded over the counter on Wall Street. The company operates in both Israel and the US, developing optical memory. "Globes" has learned that Koor led the group of investors that raised $2 million for C3D, investing several hundreds of thousands of dollars itself. The Hebrew University, through a related body, also invested hundreds of thousands of dollars. Another $5 million was raised through US company Halifax. A total of $7 million was raised in the private placement. As a result of the placement, C3D's company value has grown from $5 million to $12 million, enabling it to raise an additional $8.9 million. $6 million was raised through a credit line offered by several US financial institutions, and $2.9 million was raised from convertible loans. The company's technology is suitable for discs and cellular telephones. The company's current value is based on the capabilities of its technology. It expects to begin production in another year after completing marketing agreements across the world, mainly in the US.
