Thanks very much to all of you who responded to my question.

Presently, it looks as if 98SE is the choice for me.
What bothers me is that I will probably have to purchase 2000ME later and can't get it included in the package. However, it would be more costly to have problems with my stock info.

Thanks again, and if anyone has not posted their thoughts on my delemma, please do, as I've bookmarked this thread as an excellent resource thread with VERY helpful posters.
