I don't think this is necessarily good news. Remember "A" last july? Of course, CSCO probably will do a better job spinning the news than agilent did. But in general, backlog is not good. It suggests higher inventory expenses and revenue growth that is limited by factors other than market share and demand.

Worst case scenario is this rekindles the component shortage worry that has been dormant for a while. Could hit the outsource manufacturing outfits like SANM, et al.
