William: "What does that prove, GST?" It simply indicates a market unsure of the one ingredient without which this market cannot be sustained at current valuations, much less go higher -- and that ingredient is the rate of earnings growth in the economy as a whole and by implication across a wide range of industries and of course a wide range of companies. Does this have the potential to take them all down? Yes. And which ones would be hit the hardest? The last to fall -- the ones you site as "winners" in September.
