[You know, I was sort of hoping that Jesse Ventura would come over to the party when he quit the Reform Party. He walks like a duck and talks like a duck, and he's proven that he's electable. But I guess that isn't going to happen.]

There's currently no incentive for him to dilute his political capital. Without remembering the details, some of his positions are definitely not libertarian, but some of the strongest libertarians are former communists, so improvement is possible. I'm not convinced that a celebrity candidate might not be counterproductive, at least at this point. Even winning an election is not a final end, but merely a possible means.
