There is much truth in that. Still, business is practical when it has the facts. I look around at the way business has advanced the quality of life, and it really is astounding. Just take the idea of food supply and meals. We go to the store, it goes in the fridge, it goes on the stove--we put the dishes in the machine. I love business!
I am going to send some emails tomorrow, in the format of: Dear Sir/Madam: Here is an article which describes a public health problem which impacts your family and mine. I have always respected, appreciated your work, blah blah blah as my senator, doctor, MP, blah blah. Please consider that this information has the deep concern and focus of the scientific community, but it requires that political leaders exercise their political will and take a leadership role to protect the public from this documented threat. Blah blah blah...
Blah blah
sincerely
I think I would send the article I linked earlier.
ONE email, appropriately copied to a few, prevents the recipient from simply ignoring the contents. Likely they would make a phone call or two to the other recipients...
This is an issue sufficiently important for me to take half an hour to look up a few email addresses. We can all do that. |
