*OT* "I'm not sure what your point is. People drink themselves into oblivion. So what your saying is just not true."

jim, surely you're smarter than that. When people drink their objective is not to drink themselves into "oblivian". When people use Crack, Coke, Heroin, Acid, Pot, etc., their objective is to get stoned. All people that use alcohol don't get into, neither do they allow themselves to get into a drunken state.

Alcohol is a drug and when it is abused it produces a drunken state. Pot when abused could produce a stoned state. Of the two states, drunkeness is clearly the worst.

Alcohol is not always abused and does not always produce a drunken state, and in addition to that it is legal. Tell me more about pot, heroin, crack, acid, coke, etc.

"I do not know what states cocaine and the other drugs produce when abused or even what constitutes abuse. I'm not qualified to compare and contrast states of stupor."

Then I suggest that you read up more on the subject. Contact you local drug abuse center or your police department for information.

"My point remains historically valid! Prohibition produced a powerful criminal class and so has drug prohibition. You do not have to be even very bright to see that that is true.

I don't see this as being true so I guess I'm not very bright according to you.
