Not surprised that ASML is down. The normal play is short the acquirer and buy the acquiree.

A drop of 5% or so in ASML would be peanuts relative to what sometimes happens. Take a look at MTSN for example, after announcing two acquisitions.

It does however make the valuing of the ASML shares a little tricky.
