PTC Receives $8.6 Million Order From Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Selects PTC's Windchill As Collaborative Product

WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), a leading provider of Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC) solutions, today announced that it has received a new three year contract from Lockheed Martin Space Systems, a business unit of Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT), the world's largest defense contractor. The follow on order is for $8.6 million in Windchill software and services. With this purchase, Lockheed Martin Space Systems has selected Windchill as its collaborative product development and Product Data Management (PDM) standard. The software was shipped during PTC's fourth fiscal quarter (ended September 30, 2000.)

Lockheed Martin Space Systems' Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) program is part of the Space Systems' One Company Enterprise Resource Management initiative. "Windchill is an important element of our EPDM program," said Curt Bigelow, program manager, EPDM at Lockheed Martin Space Systems- Astronautics Operations. "The partnership with PTC has produced a CPC environment that allows us to integrate our product data and collaborate through the product lifecycle across our entire value chain."

PTC's products are currently deployed in the majority of Lockheed companies.
