Dear Tench: You seem to not be able to stop the personal attacks. You are no longer on my active list. You can not get it through your head that Itanium has failed. BTW did you see those benchmarks of P4 on JC's site? They are terrible. P4 is still not ready. No wonder Intel needs more time to write more crappy benchmarks, the P4 does too badly on normal software. The 1G Athlon would beat most of those scores and thats is on a platform that stops it from performing its best (KT-133). On a 760 based PC-1600, it would reign in all but SSE only benchmarks. A 1.3G Palomino (since I think it will outrun a 1.3G Tbird) will destroy the P4. Go stick your head back into the sand. Your will deserve what you get. Pete
