in my book, taking money out of one's IRA for 60days to play the mkt is living on the edge :-)
i would think if you want to take IRA $ out to put it on margin, you're better off playing one of those 2x profunds or rydex inside the IRA.

doesn't your custodian have to take out the mandatory 20% penalty (or is that only if you're under 59 1/2??)
and you have to make up that 20% amount when you put it back in, and claim the "missing" 20% later when you file your taxes.

from this perspective, I'm not sure if this is riskier or if taking a cash advance from one's credit card ;-)
