Colonel: How does it feel to be a civilian?

More re: education: The Gore education plan increases education funding by $115 billion. The Bush education plan increases education funding by $14 billion.

Gore supports federal aid for helping communities rebuild and modernize school buildings. He would finish wiring every classroom to the Internet (which he helped bring about). The Bush 6-point education reform plan, on the other hand, is silent on school modernization.

Now, you may ask, how does Gore plan to pay for this?

Excellent question. I would personally point out that all of this money could come out of the Defense Department budget because, as Gore Vidal pointed out on C-Span last night, the Defense Department now must create "enemies of America" since the Cold War concluded.

Just my opinion.
